Botox, fillers, and PRP each do something distinct. Understanding the difference is how we get natural-looking results — not the overdone, obvious look that gives injectables a bad reputation.
Botox — Neuromodulator Injections
Botox (botulinum toxin type A) is one of the most studied cosmetic treatments in existence — FDA-approved since 2002 for cosmetic use. It works by temporarily blocking nerve signals to specific facial muscles, reducing the contractions that create dynamic wrinkles: the lines that form when you squint, frown, or raise your brows. When placed precisely and at the correct dose, the result is relaxed, natural-looking skin — not a frozen face. Dr. Trey uses Botox conservatively, starting lower than you think you need and building from there.
- Treats: forehead lines, frown lines (11s), crow’s feet, brow lift, neck bands, jaw slimming (masseter)
- Onset: 3–7 days. Full effect at 2 weeks.
- Duration: 3–4 months. Most patients do 3 treatments per year.
- Treatment time: 15–30 minutes. No downtime.
Dermal Fillers — Volume & Contour
Dermal fillers restore volume, lift tissue, and smooth static lines — the ones visible at rest that Botox doesn’t address. Most fillers at HealthLogicMD are hyaluronic acid (HA)-based, a substance naturally found in your skin. HA fillers are reversible with hyaluronidase if needed, which is why Dr. Trey prefers them: precision and the ability to course-correct. Thicker formulations restore deep structure (cheeks, jawline, chin); thinner ones address fine surface lines and lips. Results are immediate.
- Treats: nasolabial folds, lip volume and shape, cheek and midface volume, under-eye hollows, jawline definition, chin projection
- Onset: immediate. Final result visible at 2 weeks as swelling settles.
- Duration: 6–18 months depending on product and area.
- Treatment time: 30–60 minutes. Mild swelling or bruising possible for 1–3 days.
PRP — Platelet-Rich Plasma
PRP uses your own biology to rejuvenate your skin. A small blood draw is processed to concentrate the platelets — the cells responsible for healing and tissue repair — into a plasma rich in growth factors. Re-injected into the face (or scalp, for hair loss), PRP stimulates collagen production, improves skin texture and tone, and triggers natural tissue repair from within. Results build gradually over 4–6 weeks and continue improving for months. Because it uses your own blood, there’s no risk of allergic reaction.
- Treats: skin laxity, fine lines, skin texture and tone, under-eye area, hair thinning and loss, neck and décolletage rejuvenation
- Onset: 4–6 weeks. Results build over 3–6 months.
- Duration: results are long-lasting with maintenance every 6–12 months.
- Treatment time: 45–60 minutes including blood draw and processing. Redness for 24–48 hours.

How HealthLogicMD Injectable Treatments Work
Every patient starts with a consultation. We assess your face, your goals, and your history with injectables — and recommend only what’s indicated. Here’s what to expect:
Consultation with Dr. Trey
Dr. Trey evaluates your face in full — structure, symmetry, skin quality, movement patterns, and what you’re hoping to address. She’ll be direct about what each treatment can and can’t do, and what a realistic outcome looks like for you. No pressure, no package pushing.
Treatment Design
Dr. Trey maps the injection sites, selects the right product(s) and doses, and explains exactly what she’s planning and why. For new patients, she typically starts more conservatively — you can always add; you can’t easily take away.
The Procedure
Injectable treatments are performed in-office. A topical numbing cream is applied where appropriate. Most sessions take 15–60 minutes depending on the treatment. You’ll see immediate results with Botox and fillers; PRP results build over weeks.
You Leave Looking Like Yourself

Dr. Trey considers how your face moves, how it ages, and how any injectable treatment interacts with your overall longevity plan — including hormone therapy, which affects skin quality systemically.
Follow-Up & Maintenance
Dr. Trey reviews results at a follow-up visit and adjusts future treatments based on how you responded. Botox patients typically return every 3–4 months; filler timelines vary. PRP is typically done as a series of 2–3 sessions, then annual maintenance.
